Information used by ZipWise

ZipWise processes account information, client records you import or enter, scheduled visits, visit notes, product activity and research requests to provide the features you use. If you allow location access, the app can use your precise location for nearby business searches and route planning.

AI sharing choices

Before business research is sent to an AI provider, ZipWise asks you to enable AI sharing. Manage that choice in Settings under AI sharing privacy; turning it off blocks new research requests. Planning and email-assistance features may send relevant client, schedule, goal, note and draft context to Anthropic. Do not use an AI feature with sensitive information or records you are not authorized to share.

ZipWise in ChatGPT

If you connect ZipWise to ChatGPT, you sign in to ZipWise and approve the connection first. After that, when you ask ChatGPT about your work, it can read your ZipWise schedule, routes, visit plan, client records and visit history. What it reads becomes part of your ChatGPT conversation and is handled by OpenAI under OpenAI's own terms and privacy policy. The connection is read-only: it can't add, change or delete anything in ZipWise. To disconnect, remove ZipWise from the connected apps in your ChatGPT settings.

Service providers

Clerk provides account authentication. Mapbox supports maps and route calculations. Google Places supports business discovery. Business research requests can send business details, selected source material and request context to OpenAI or Anthropic, depending on the configured research provider. Other AI-assisted features can send their request context to Anthropic.

OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models unless the customer explicitly opts in. Its default abuse-monitoring logs may include prompts and responses and are retained for up to 30 days, subject to stated legal and safety exceptions; standard text requests to the Chat Completions endpoint have no application-state retention. Anthropic states that commercial and API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models unless the customer opts in or submits feedback. Anthropic's published default deletes API inputs and outputs within 30 days, with stated exceptions for features such as the Files API, usage-policy enforcement, law or a separate agreement. These are provider-published defaults, not a promise that a particular request qualifies for shorter or zero retention.

Research and local storage

Generated research may contain mistakes. Supported downloaded records and pending changes can be stored on your device for offline use. Browser storage and authentication cookies support sign-in and saved settings.

Account control

In Settings, select Delete account and confirm to permanently delete your ZipWise account and associated active app data. ZipWise signs you out only after deletion succeeds. If deletion is pending, the app keeps you signed in with retry instructions while it finishes provider cleanup. You can also email [email protected] to request access, correction or deletion; we may need to verify account ownership.

Backups and deletion

When the in-app flow reports success, active account data has been deleted. Deleted records can remain in protected operational database backups until those backups age out under the verified 30-day retention policy. The deletion flow does not erase a backup immediately.
